How much is that gnome in the garden?
Well, we finally got off to Gothenburg this weekend an we had a blast - allthough Liseberg was a very crowded place that day as it turned out!
We also had to leave our dog at the kennel since we couldn't bring her along. But the kennel siezed the opportunity and helped us trim her, which was very much appreciated from our side. I'll get pictures up as soon as I can, of Princess Moki v 2.0. and of me and the family at Liseberg. Check out the website in a few days!
And I am looking forward to spending christmas together with my parents.

The reflective episode...
Well, we never got off to Gothenburg this weekend. It all had to do with some odd illness my daughter stumbled across last friday. But it really didn't matter cause the important issue is that she is well again. The weekend was spent cleaning the house instead, which we of course all think is a good equivelence to a christmas theme park...not! Credits to Marie who did most of the work though. We also baked the traditional "lussekatter" (Lucia Cats) which is a kind of christmas bun with saffron. If you want a recipe with design examples click here » Today we celebrate Lucia at breakfast by eating these lucia cats, drinking wine punch and dressing up like the saint herself (image), some of us

So we're back again!
People really liked this venue, so we're back in the studio, Marie and I, making our second Bedtime Stories. Tonight we cover areas like feedback on the show (Thank you all!) and how swedish people speak english, where I accidently insult the germans.
Marie tells you about her "Retard Mode" and why we didn't go to Liseberg.
We also talk about the Nobel Prize banquette being the biggest and most glamourous party in the world, and how stupid the swedish government acted during the Tsunami catastrophy.
I also let you in on Maries cleaning obsession and I give a New Years resolution since I have used more that 200 kg of snuff (image) over the past 4-5 years!

The kidz are back!
It's more of a pitstop this week, but they are back anyway and it feels great! We had a great weekend with just my daughter and we all got time to slack a bit.
Also on todays show:
A techtip of mine was played on Podcast411 last week (episode 108 »), and that was fun. It was a terrible recording, but thank you Rob for letting me address your audience! I talk a bit about something I would like to call "singular stress" and try to explain why I get kind of worked up from being alone in the house. I also present our new house band The Core from Seattle, Washington. All I could find was this 15 year old picture of them, so if they don't send me something newer you'll have to live with that one!
Announcements today:

Hi everybody!
I would just like you to know that I have opened a store at cafepress.com where you can now buy merchandise from the show.
It's mainly clothes and houseware at this time, and the quaility is outstanding. I know this from personal experience after having purchased from them before.
The good thing about this deal is that you first of all get a relly nice piece of fashion wear or house ware, and in the process you help me promote the show a bit. Could it be better?
I will be adding more stuff to the shop as we go along, so be sure to check out the site from time to time.
You can find the shop at: www.cafepress.com/polarbearpod
Have a nice monday, and don't forget to check out the new episode tomorrow!

A wet dream for a tech geek like me!
So I've baught and installed my new Yamaha MG10/2 mixerboard enabling me to connect no less than 4 microphones to my studio should I ever neew that. It's a work of art this machine and it really suits my needs, so gone is the digital firewire soundcard interface (why be modern) and it feels soooo nice!
Also on todays show:
I tell you about the "Bedtime Stories" that I released on sunday, as a part of the Polarbear Podcast Sphere, and how it is thought to be an extra adventure for all you subscribers. On SwenewS you can hear about the crack head tv celebrity caught on video, how people in Norrland (northern region in sweden) cons the state on subsidies and how strange it is (or not) that the Nobel Foundation invests there money in the arms trade. I also respond to some interesting feedback from Linda.

Welcome to a new venue on the Polarbear Podcast
This is the very first Bedtime Stories that we make within the realm of Polarbear Podcast! This is going to be a recurring venue, every two weeks or so. The idea came from actually podcasting our every evening discussions and sharing those with you, and it gave Marie a opportunity to get some things off her chest, and practice podcasting.
We hope you enjoy this somewhat different show, and we will be back with a new one in two weeks or so. In the meantime you can still enjoy the regular Polarbear Podcast every tuesday and friday.
Among the stories tonight:
Cristmas decorations - and shopping for them
Maries fabulous work environment
Decorating our bedroom with a little help from Maries dad
Seperation anxiety from matchboxes in the middle of the North Sea
"EA Sports - it's in the game"
Sahara - the movie!

or is it just in my local setup. Send me an email and let me know!
Also on todays show:
I've been to Stokcholm this week, and I tell you about a very comfortable cab ride I had and discuss some of the things

On Swenews we find out about more stupid judgements regarding rapes, more odd behaviour from staff at elderly homes, people trying to get away with their pockets full of coke and hunters who havn't done their homework.

A weekend from hell is about to begin, with weddings, christenings, birthday parties and more... When will it end? Due to, my low stress threshhold I'll keep this episode slightly shorter than usual, but we'll have time for the good stuff, so don't worry.
Also on todays show:
A fast recap from my daughters 6th birthday where she didn't get the snowracer after all, but a lot of other things. Some thoughts about the Portable Media Expo in California where I hopefully will be going next year. I also complain about my webhost SPRAY for their lack of service when the site was down yesterday.

Also on todays show:
Returning products to the home electronics store can sometimes be easier than you want to believe. And what's up with the weather right now? Everything is just up side down. Can you ever trust the weather man? How will things work out with my daughters new Snowracer (picture) when there isn't a trace of snow anywhere?
On Swenews we cover issues such as the swedish royal family, adult children books, putting out fire with...beer, and what can happen when people are denied withdrawels at a bank.

Also on todays show:
I tell you about a little vision I have regarding the podcast.
We learn about mad dentists, kaotic shoppers and company parties gone way wrong on the SwenewS section.
I bring up the new Robbie Williams record again on the music review section since I have now bought it and actually listened to it.
Then on Feedback I give you a trip down memory lane, as the mysteries around my first love unwrap in a unusaully detailed fashion. Sticking my neck out here...

Introducing PASP - The Personal Awareness Sponsorship Programme...
Making a podcast has its costs and this is my own solution to that problem. Instead of just reaching out to you and begging for allemonies as many of my fellow podcasters do, I've decided to make you a part of the Polarbear Experience! It's a more fun way of doing it I think.
By making a minor donation to the show you keep me delivering two shows a week. I can expand the adventure to give you more content, better quality and a secured delivery. Now, that is something we all want...
To read more about this, click here. It's all explained there i great detail.
So be a part of the fun, and become a Sponsor you too!
Please feel free to leave comments (just click on the comments-link) on this subject.

This is an Andy Special Edition, and that is because I've got emails asking me who I really am. So this episode focuses quite a lot on me and reveals both this and that. It is also the premiere of Marie being on the show, as she put me up against the wall with 7 in-depth questions about myself.
Then of course we have a little swenews. Can't live without that, huh? And then some announcements and so on.

Hi everyone. I'm up in stockholm now and it's both interesting and extremely boring. I've been out on the roads som much during my career that I'm getting sick of it. It's like just another dull hotell room. But work is really interesting. We are in the process of redisigning the magazine I work with and I've been in and out of brainstorming meetings all day. Tomorrow I have scheduled the design firm in the afternoon to go over the last bits before they get at it. Doing what they do best! :-) But then it's back to normal again after the weekend. New issue coming out in two weeks, which means that I have a lot of work to do on the designing department. I have a new SHOW coming out on tuesday, and that feels like much more fun doing if I may be totally honest. I'm sitting right now scanning the web for bizarr news that I can share with you guys. Well, it's time to call it a day, so I'll just head back up to my little room and watch this weeks episode of LOST before I crash. Have a great weekend and hear you on tuesday! See Ya!

Hi everybody!
Just wanted to let you know that I've got a lot of interesting things coming up on the next couple of shows.
I've got an interview coming up (first time...nerve racking!) with a fresh american musician - won't spoil the surprise now - that I hope to put out with a few weeks.
Another interview is also lined up, concerning the topic "Killing myths about sweden". This one will probably be posted within a week or two.
It's all new stuff for me, so it takes a little time getting used to. Just tried out Skype yesterday for the first time. Interesting technology, no doubt, but not always compatible with my brain!
I had a little setback for the up-coming show, being posted tomorrow, regarding copyright issues of the music review, but, as they say, Life is a bitch, and then you marry one! So true...
Apart from that everything is great and I am still eager to read all your emails so keep them coming. andy@polarbearpodcast.com
